We were 3 adults driving along the coast of France for 4 weeks. We stayed at private gites, budget to 5-star hotels, booking a room for 3. At Moderne, bathroom amenities were provided thoughtfully, 3 sets of soap and bath gel for each guest. Some other lodgings provided only 1 little piece of soap. The xtra bed for the 3rd person was also set and ready. At some other hotels, we had to make the bed ourselves. It was a pleasant surprise, considering the low reasonable room rate. Street parking was just right outside. Downtown was within walking distance. The owner/receptionist was very kind, spoke very good English.

Hotel Moderne appears to be the only hotel in Gisors! The hotel had secure cycle storage. The patron was very helpful, handled my terrible French with aplomb but obviously spoke good English too. We only had breakfast at the hotel - it wasn't spectacular but perfectly adequate. The hotel was 10 minutes walk from the town centre which has a good choice of restaurants. We ate at Le Cappeville, which was superb. The castle and park are worth a visit.

Excellent stay. Used this as a stop from London to Paris bike ride. Breakfast was great, good bike storage and easy distance to town centre. Highly recommend and owner was lovely.

Stop over while on the Avenue, nice hotel and very helpful staff, perfect for a one night stop over, eat, sleep, relax and cycle. Recommended a great restaurant and helped keep the bikes nice and safe.
