Unbelievable host. Lots of history and experience here. Only needs half a word, writes nothing down but doesn’t forget anything. Great room, great location and nice parking too. The host makes the place. A true gem.
nice breakfast, good hotel to travel to Italy, cheaper than in Switzerland, kind
A lovely, old, quaint hotel (and I mean 'old' in a good way). It's in an historic looking neighborhood in Wintzenheim, a suburb of Colmar. The owner was nice, and I was able to communicate with her in German. It is a few km from Colmar station, so it's a cheaper, non-touristy area, and the hotel is a good value. It can be reached by bus from Comar station; if you plan to go to and from Colmar, then be sure to ask the bus driver for a day pass or multi-day pass (Tageskarte) instead of paying individual bus fares.
