Once a coaching inn, Hôtel de La Croix d'Or is now a charming hotel-restaurant located in the center of Avranches, just 20 minutes from the famous Mont Saint Michel. All of the rooms are en suite with a bath or shower, a hairdryer and toiletries. Cable and satellite TV and free Wi-Fi are also provided. Gastronomic cuisine is prepared and served in the restaurant’s rustic-style dining room with exposed beams and stone. Nice little town. The hotel had a restaurant on site though we didn't eat there. Free parking is a plus. They had a beautiful garden. The room and bathroom were big.

The room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.

Seemed more authentically French, with lovely garden for a large family to gather in. The staff was helpful arranging a crib for the year old child. We would be happy to return. Also , Avranches was less hectic than the popular tourist destinations in Normandy .

Loved the charm of old times decoration. The garden was immaculate. We were able to enjoy an aperitif outside on the patio. Eating at their restaurant was a delight! Parking available on site.

I loved everything about this hotel. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were exceptional. Dinner in the dining room was superb. Such a great menu. We are coming back to this hotel in June this year
