Unique place to stay. We loved the historic location.
Loved the old building and surrounding remains of a fort. Central location and restaurants just the other side of the walls of the fort. We faced the courtyard and it was very quiet and we enjoyed a drink there in the evening sun. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. We arrived on bicycles and there was a garage available to store them.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It exceeded our expectations. The interiors were a little tired, but overall everything was perfectly charming. Lovely breakfast, clean room in fantastic surroundings. Briquebec is also a lovely town, the restaurant Le Relais de Contentin was great too (and possibly the only place to have dinner nearby if the Chateau restaurant is closed).
Atypique experience in an very old castle. Good experience
The old Chateau has been beautifully converted into a modern hotel and the dining room / breakfast room is exceptional.
