Highly recommend staying here! Why stay in a hotel with impersonal service when you can have: an idyllic setting, charming hosts, super clean rooms, homemade breakfasts, picture perfect yard, and even a pool if it’s warm enough! All for a lower price too. It was a shame we only stayed one night as we were captivated by the gorgeous sunset when we arrived at Le Moulin de l’Etang. Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy more sunsets. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here to have an authentic French experience.

The location was wonderfully quiet, the accommodation was very comfortably furnished and the landlords were very nice 😁
Location for car travellers was excellent, we arrived from Dijon and were heading for Chamonix the following morning, so not far from the motorway but yet, in a quiet village setting. The surroundings were rustic, quiet and restful specially quiet at night. Natalie, the land lady was very helpful about suggesting local restaurants and places of interest, she was very friendly and polite and gave us a tour of her vegetable/ herb garden . The breakfast following morning was simple but lavish and she made fresh pancakes for us that were lovely, with various fresh fruits, yogurt and preserves. Previous evening she offered quiche and salad if we didn’t fancy a drive to the village restaurants but we fancied a hot restaurant standard dinner after a long drive and on return had a few drinks from the fridge in the terrace, reasonably priced. We will most definitely use this place as stopover on our regular car trips to Italy.
