Les Touristes is a family-run hotel located in heart of the Village of Abondance. It offers free Wi-Fi internet access and a garden with a playground. Guest rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, a TV and telephone. They overlook the mountains and some rooms have a balcony. The hotel has a terrace with flowers and a garden. The bar, lounge and reading room provide comfortable places to relax. There is also a restaurant serving characteristic French and Savoyard cuisine including fondue. Les Touristes is located 656 feet from the gondola elevator Abondance. The hotel offers a free on-site car park and a garage for motorbikes and bicycles. There are free, public shuttle transfers to the ski resort of Des Portes du Soleil.

Charming Chalet with a few house cats. The windows open, so fantastic mountain air in the room. Smaller village with lots of hiking trails.
Wonderfully cozy hotel in a beautiful environment. Clean rooms and a very nice restaurant.
The location was lovely, in the middle of the mountains with a direct access to the slopes. The hotel offers excellent breakfast and dinner options, with typical dishes from the region and local products. The tenants are lovely and extremely helpful ! The hotel is a family owned business, and we felt at home and very well taken care for ! We are planning on coming back as soon as possible to explore the region in the summer time, you have many lakes around to visit and hikes with must see views !
Amazing welcome from everyone: the host, staff and fellow guests at Les Touristes, and from everyone we spoke to around the village (all French). The rooms were of a larger size than I was expecting for the price, the bed was comfy and the food was great. The room service lady made everything immaculate each day - thanks!
Abondance itself is a pretty little village with half a dozen restaurants that I saw on the main strip. There's also a ski hire shop (which we didn't use), a pharmacy and a bar or two.
Unfortunately the ski lifts in Abondance were closed due to lack of snow, but we suspected this might be the case given the altitude and the fact it was early March. We drove up to Châtel or Pres-du-Joux instead. There was plenty of parking behind the hotel which made things easy for us, although there's a regular (free) bus service too.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Les Touristes and Abondance itself to other travellers. I hope to return soon.
