This is a family run hotel, and what a family! The staff are excellent, and we were particularly impressed by Maeryl - young, keen, energetic, friendly, and professional. Valerie, too, head chef and daughter of the family ownership, was superb. She welcomed us like a friend, ensured we were happy with our room, and then in the evening created a terrific meal. The location is peaceful, the hotel is comfortable, clean, and with all the amenities we needed. But the real win is in the service - nothing was too much trouble - and the food in the restaurant (for this alone it should have another star on its rating).
Good location for us, friendly staff, good food, huge comfy bed, nice shower.
Right out in the sticks, but a real bonus when we found it. The restaurant was exceptional, definitely a real surprise.
