This nice little apartment is located in the center of town, close to all the amenities. It is comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is on a nice historical street and quite near the cathedral.
Excellent location, easy walking distance to sights, the river, restaurants, market and food shops (boulangerie, boucher, etc) We loved the street and its history. The apartment provided a very comfortable stay - excellent mattress, good pillows, comfy couch and chairs, plenty of space. It was well equipped, with kitchen utensils, airer and pegs for clothes, salt and olive oil for cooking, plenty of supplies. And blissfully quiet, even on the night of the Fete. Very was an excellent host, great communication and was waiting for us when we arrived. She even welcomed us with a sweet treat, all so appreciated after out long, long travels. Highly recommend Matin d'ete.
Chartres was a delightful city to visit with everything within an easy walk. We also wish that we had thought of using it as a base for making day trips into Paris by train as this good-size one-bedroom apartment was less than half the price of a cramped studio in Paris and more than twice as nice! The location was quiet but just a 2-minute walk from the compact city centre, and a 10-minute walk from the rail station. It had everything we needed but especially a king-size bed. Host Very was excellent.
Very clean and charming. Quaint and quiet street. Easy walk to everything we wanted to see and do and eat.
