The location was excellent and watching the Corsica / Sardinia ferries and cruise ships coming and going was very interesting. You could hear the loud speaker announcements from the ships and the nearby naval base and event the bugle for parade but this was part of the charm.The area was very nice with good shops, a daily market as well as a Carrefour Hyper market very close by. There were plenty of restaurants along the quayside as well as boat trips and a little tourist train. I recommend a trip to the medieval village of Le Castellet for an interesting day out and also a trip to the top of Mont Faron which can be reached by cable car although we chose to drive. Local beaches are very clean and tidy with plenty of beachside restaurants to choose from and protected bays to swim in.
