Proximity to the port and activities. Lou was a fantastic host providing lots of information for activities in the area.

The property is spacious, and conveniently located for sights and amenities. The location is the main reason for our choice, after weighing up the cons: -- five flights of stairs (more than 100 steps); fragile ornaments with 'Do not touch' labels inside the property to be extra careful with; no air-conditioning in the bedrooms; extras to pay for air-conditioning usage (and late check-in or early check-out); upfront deposit of 290 euros in Cash; and the cleaning and laundry to be done before departure (or pay 50 euros). On check-out, the host's delegate inspected the property and said: 'You left the property very clean; thank you' -- and returned our deposit less the 25 euros for air-con usage.

The apartment is in an old building, lots of carature, it has a balcony with a view. There's plenty to see and do. Easy walk to some fabulous restaurants and the old Port is a minute walk away, the back streets have many restaurants, shops, you name it it's here. Really well located. If you are fit, want to be in the centre of Marseille and have an affordable apartment, this is worth the money.

the location is excellent, almost in the very center, the view is not great, but the balcony is pleasant. Relatively spacious apartment, good ratio of price and size.
