If you're looking for something unconventional, with a unique history and a fantastic view - you've found the right place.
It's important to note, this is not a hotel, but apartments located in the former Grand Hotel. The building of the once-grand hotel is situated right in the center, directly on the main beach. The former luxury and grandeur are striking. After the Germans occupied Dinard, the hotel was turned into the Gestapo headquarters, and after the war ended, it never resumed operations as a hotel.
Now, each room has become a private apartment. This grand old building is being restored by the apartment owners.
From the window of the apartment where you'll be staying, there is a fantastic view of the bay and the old town of Saint-Malo.
Personally, I am thrilled by such stories and experiences, which is why I can forgive many shortcomings in the service.
