That beautiful crystal clear river in front of it is everything! The cottage is just 5min drive away from Plitvice National Park and is the perfect location. The kitchen and the bathroom is so new and swanky, the towels all smell so good, host family is kind and friendly.

The house is on the Korana river, conveniently located 7 mins drive to the Plitvice Lakes entrance 1, and the surroundings are beautiful and serene. There are 3 emerald lakes within a couple of minutes walk, probably 10 mins to get to the third one, which was the best one - incredibly beautiful, with a waterfall, and perfect for swimming. We were told to be aware of snakes. The apartment itself is nice and the beds are very comfortable. The owner, Martin, was helpful, and told us about the lakes, and recommended a restaurant nearby, which was very good (Old Shatterhand).

The location was perfect. The river was just steeps from the apartment and you could hear the sound of the flowing water from your room. There were even stairs to get in if you wanted to take a swim (we did!). There was also a table to sit and enjoy glass of wine in the evening. It was also just about a 10 minute drive to entrance 1 of Plitvice and about 5 minutes from town (where you could get coffee, baked goods, diner, or groceries.) There is an easy parking spot for your car if you drive. The apartment is up a flight of stairs, it wasn’t difficult to maneuver, but if your bringing heavy luggage remember you will have to go upstairs.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Just a few minutes drive to the Plitvice Lakes.
