Trebic is absolutely worth a visit (day trip of when you pass it by) and when you do, please consider staying at this lovely boutique hotel. It is connected and part of the old neighbourhood, very nice atmosphere and has a courtyard restaurant as part of it. We loved it.

The Kocour is in the Old Jewish Quarter, a perfect location for exploring Trebic. I have mobility issues and I had no problems. The hotel rooms are upstairs above the restaurant area, so some stairs were unavoidable, but I asked for a room on the first floor and I managed one flight of stairs just fine. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Mine was overlooking the inner courtyard. I ate dinner in the restaurant downstairs. I can recommend their home-made burgers! Washed down with a glass of draught Pilsener Urquell - of course! I took an early night and slept like a baby. In the morning I was offered some scrambled eggs with the continental breakfast and the coffee was delicious. After a hearty breakfast I just crossed the road to walk up to the Basilica for a tour and enjoyed my day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
