Everything that was promised in the promotional materials was delivered. Location was not too close or too far from the town center. The Breakfast was far better than a standard continental one. Great variety. Felt like they would have baked us a wedding cake if we asked them to. The language barrier was really more fun than it was frustrating and OUR fault for not learning more Spanish. We would unreservedly recommend this place to future visitors.

Outstanding experience being at Illauca de Atacama. Very friendly staff (Jose and Leticia), hostel facilities in pristine conditions, awesome swimming pool, nice breakfast, all that you need to enjoy without any hassle the beautiful city of San Pedro de Atacama. Highly recommended, next trip to Atacama I’ll definitely be staying there again, thanks!

We really appreciated the family atmosphere of the hostel. The owner and the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel was very cleaned, rooms very comfortable and the swimming pool area super cozy. They also offered bikes for free. We enjoyed the location a bit outside of the crowded area but still near the centre. Internet signal was very strong. Breakfast very good and full of options. They also have a very good laundry service.

The property wasn’t far from the centre and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. The packed lunch to send us on our way to Bolivia was a very nice touch too.

Simple cozy and lovely hotel within walking distance from the center. Rooms spotless clean, Pool (not heated). Packed breakfast when tours started early. Cozy reading/relaxing area and sunset viewing area. Quiet street, couple of minimarkets closeby.
