Wonderful place beautiful, clean, friendly staff and great breakfast. Beautiful view too!

Nice hotel at a stunning location on top of a hill. Excellent views over the landscape, especially when watching the sunset. The restaurant inside the hotel is good and offers typical swiss food at reasonable prices. Lots of parking spce directly in front of the hotel. The staff is friendly and can give good hints (if you understand the local dialect :-). Good place for cat-lovers: there are two very nice cats, called "Zucker" and "Zimt" (= sugar and cinnamon).

The location is exceptional, one a one lane road in the mountains of Appenzell. It was mid April but we had a lot of snow every day, but the roads were plowed and the hotel is very accessible, even in poor weather. The hotel is old but the interior is updated and the rooms are large, modern, and very clean. The food is excellent and they cooked two unique Swiss items for us that were not on the menu. The staff is exceptional.

A family run guesthouse in a rural location, yet within 30 minutes of St Gallen, Appenzell and Lake Constance. There are plenty of walks from the B&B in the surrounding hills. The family are very friendly and provide excellent service. The breakfast was very good using local produce and bread/ croissants from their own bakery. We had one evening meal here and the food was excellent and value for money.
