I’ve been coming to the Stadthaus for roughly 20 years and have always found it an exceptional location and building. I have always been well taken care of and have enjoyed every stay. It’s a beautiful area and a peaceful place to enjoy yourself. The food is always good and the service exceptional.

The Hotel is located on the edge of the old town, quiet location with nice view to the city (from my room). I have checked in the evening and the reception seem to be waiting for me. Simple and easy check in and a friendly staff member greeted me. In the room a hand written and signed welcome note and fresh fruits were prepared for me, very nice touch. The hotel accommodated my wish for a high floor level room with nice view. The breakfest was fresh and well presented with high quality and local ingrediencies every morning. The room was spacious elegantly designed exactly how it was reflected on the pictures. The extra care and attention to the details and service is noticeable throughout.

I liked everything. Great, friendly staff, location, room, bath. And the breakfast! I liked it all here. This was easily my best hotel experience this year. I will for sure come back.

Don’t judge too harshly for the lack of air conditioning - in such historic buildings, getting permits is extremely difficult. Everything is arranged to the highest standard, and breakfast is excellent - served in a restaurant that once held a Michelin star. + There are so many lovely little touches, like complimentary drinks in the fridge. The town itself is charming and full of history. And you’ll be staying just 300 meters from the inner courtyard of Burgdorf Castle, where you can watch the sunset. Highly recommended!

Service impeccable. I almost felt like I was being welcomed home. Better to stay here in this lovely hotel and fairytale like village than in Bern!
