Everything. The cows with bells. The views! The peace and quiet. Central to getting around all things Appenzell!
The hostess is very friendly, very kind,it was a pleasure to spend time and talk with her. Breakfast is worth it. The location of the hotel is perfect to discover the area. The room is spacious, very quiet. A must in this area.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at this old-style hotel. It was refreshing to be surrounded by a country environment while still close to town. The host is cheerful and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful.
The breakfast buffet was great. It was your typical German-style breakfast with meat, cheese, bread, porridge, oatmeal and yogurt with a variety of toppings. The connecting family room was great for our family of 4 where we shared a bathroom. The windows had screens over them so you could open them if it was warm. The staff was very helpful in confirming our transportation to downtown St Gallen for the soccer match. Overall a great experience and we would come back.
Laure, the owner, is an absolute charme! She took such good care of me, I can't thank her enough! So kind and helpful. Breakfast was also super tasty and fresh, I loved it. Specious rooms, well equipped. Will be back again!
