The Hotel an der Aare Swiss Quality is located in the former nurses’ home of the "Altes Spital" Solothurn (the old Solothurn hospital). It combines stylish, modern infrastructure and historical 18th century buildings. This centrally-located little gem has sixteen rooms, all of which offer views of the old town of Solothurn and the Jura mountains. Guests can relax in a lounge with a vaulted ceiling. Breakfast is served in a small hall. Various culture events can be organized. A rock climbing room is also available at Hotel an der Aare Swiss Quality

Beautiful hotel right on the river. Walking distance to everything including the train station. Great staff, breakfast provided. Was a great stay. I had a lovely room on the corner with a view of the river from both windows. Easy self check in as I arrived late.

Unfortunately we arrived late and left early, so didn't have a chance to fully appreciate and explore the accommodation and surrounds. However, it was quite magical to open our window and look at the lights reflected on the River Aare. The breakfast was lovely, room was very comfortable, a lovely old building...definitely a place to return to.
