The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 656 feet from the Lugano train station. Everything was just great, very friendly staff, beautiful garden, beautiful pool, big, hotel, wonderful cuisine, just wonderful. I recommend everyone to stay there.

The Montarina is a classic. It is important to understand what type of lodging this is: casual, simple, with a hostel heart yet offers private rooms. If you approach it with that in mind, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic location and grounds, clean lodgings, and access to a great breakfast and pool. It’s also right next to the train station.
