The Residenza Motta is a romantic Ticino house with a green Mediterranean courtyard in the heart of Old Town of Locarno, near the Piazza Grande and the Visconti Castle. The house features one and two-bedroom apartments. From Monday to Saturday, upon request and against surcharge a breakfast, lunch and dinner can be arranged in the onsite Caffè/Bistro-BarTolomeo. It takes you just a 10-minute walk to reach the Residenza Motta from the train station. Guests booking this accommodations receive the Ticino-Ticket which offers free use of public transport (bus and train) in the canton of Ticino.

This place is perhaps a best-kept secret in Locarno as it affords closeness to the Piazza Grande, is surrounded by terrific restaurants in tiny, refreshing side streets, privacy inc,using an inner courtyard only for guests of the various rooms - each with their own outdoor courtyard table and chairs - all this managed by an extremely friendly and responsive manager Lorenzo! What more can one say?

Clear instructions to enter the property, spotless apartment and well equipped kitchen. Location was very central but on a quiet street. Beautiful terrace and well cared for plants, trees.

Nice location and very clean and airy rooms. Entry doors was always locked so we felt very safe. The hosts were helpful and caring. We would recommend staying at this residence

- Bed was comfortable - WIFI worked well - Terrace in front of the apartment was nice - The owners are very friendly and provided us with plenty of advice on hiking etc.

Nice location in the Old Town. Very gracious and inquiring hosts, helpful with everything. Quiet, with shutters to keep the light out for those needing darkness to sleep. Quite spacious which we really appreciated. Everything was well maintained and clean. Nice view from the windows. Excellent kitchen facilities.
