Located 492 feet from Undersåker Station, this hotel is within 10 minutes’ drive of the Trillevallen and Åre ski resorts. It has a restaurant, bar and a relaxation area with an inside and outside saunas. A TV and a private bathroom with shower are standard features in all rooms at Hotell Åre Fjällsätra. Some also have a seating area, while others include a balcony with mountain and garden views. The in-house restaurant serves traditional Swedish cuisine based on mostly organic, locally sourced ingredients. WiFi is free throughout the property. Boulé and other games can be borrowed for free on site. Other facilities include an orangery in the garden, a children's playground, along with bookable indoor and outdoor sauna. Hiking and cross-country ski trails run right by Hotell Åre Fjällsätra Hotel, and the Indalsälven River is less than a 5-minute walk away. Östersund is reached in 60 minutes by car. We were in the area for a wedding. Location was great and very peaceful. The room was comfortable and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. If I am ever in the area I will definitely stay there again.
The staff at check-in were extremely friendly. The abeyance of this hotel had the right organic feel to feel a sense of Hygee.
The complementary breakfast/buffet was incredible. There was live music during dinner one evening, very talented musician.
The staff were friendly in guiding us on what to do in the area and went above and beyond. The rooms where very comfortable and clean.
The Outdoor sauna was 10/10 -----Highly recommend it
I use to travel for a living (Ex-Flight Attendant) and have been fortunate enough to have travelled all around the world and stay in some incredible places. However this would be one of my top 3 hotels! It did not feel like a hotel, it felt like staying in an upscale bed and breakfast.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
