Aqua Blue is right next to the beach, like 50 m away, and in a more quiet location. If you go to the main street, you can sometimes see the 'local' elephant in the marsh nearby. The place is clean, has AC and everything you need, even a hammock to chill in. Basheer is always there to help you with pretty much everything you need. The breakfast is very good and the cappuccino, one of the best in Sri Lanka. I totally recommend Aqua Blue!

Rooms were clean and comfortable with a/c and hot showers. Basheer was an excellent host..warm, personable and always available to meet our needs. He provided excellent breakfast and arranged both a safari of kumara and a lagoon tour...both were great, but the lagoon tour was not to be missed! Tranquil, beautiful gliding amongst the mangroves, with a stop at the beach. And the elephants wandered out at sunset!! Even after we left, Basheer checked in with us to ensure we were safe (we were traveling on scooters into the rainy hill country). I recommend aqua blue!

Basheer and raffelle were superb hosts we had better hospitality here compared to some 5 star hotels. The food was delicious, they organised a wonderful safari and we saw a leopard and elephant. They also helped us when arranging a dr when we arrived with stomach problems! Rooms are spotless. Beach is 1 minute walk. This is a gem of a hotel and I can’t recommend it more highly. The wonderful people made our stay the best so far in Sri Lanka - thank you so much

Excellent, private location with quick/easy access to the beach

Our room was super spacious and we were happy to get one on the first floor. We really liked to attached terrace. The hotel is right at the edge of town and you can easily walk to the restaurants and supermarkets. The beach is super close. Nisha & her brother were really helpful.
