The name justifies the place. The view, food, and staff are amazing. The hospitality of the staff amazed us.
Only downside is the 1.5 km tuk tuk ride from the main road. However, the place is worth the visit.
Had a really great time at Awesome Place, beautiful little property located in the hills of Ella. Warm welcome by Ayesh and his team, who offered great and friendly service over our 2 days there. They made sure to meet all our needs and above. As for the place itself, it offers amazing views over the valley, perfect for a scenic breakfast, and the rooms are very comfy. Thanks again Ayesh, hope to be back soon!

The room with the balcony was beautiful. Lovely staff too. Accommodated laundry requests. The pool was nice (not heated). The views make it.
The hotel is situated on the moutains. The view was phenomenal! I had a huge room with a balcony, two beds and a sofa all to myself. It was very comfortable. The vibe of the hotel was super chill and I liked it! The staff, especially Shan, was super helpful and accommodating. All in all, my stay here was great.
Wow, this place is definitely Awesome. Apart from the nightmare potholes road up to the property, once you got there it was like heaven, up on the side of a hill with great views, as the place only has 3 rooms it is like having your own place. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are great fun. Loads of places to chill, either on your own huge balcony with a sofa, by the pool or in one of the chill out areas or hammock.
As for the staff, they are all so friendly, really kind good people, we had lots of fun.
Food was also great, food is available all day and evening. They even got us some tuna that was not on the menu for one of our meals which was the best meal we had in the whole of Sri Lanka.
As Awesome Place is not in the main city (which is good as avoids the noise and pollution of Ella) they will sort out travel into town to the station, to the sites etc either in a taxi or their own tuk tuks.
