Cocoa Lagoon is a charming, peaceful place about a 10-minute walk from Nilaveli Beach. The bungalows are clean, simply furnished, and surrounded by beautiful tropical plants – perfect for nature lovers and relaxed travelers.
The hosts were incredibly helpful – they arranged tuk-tuks, helped us find snorkeling gear, and even prepared gluten-free breakfasts for our daughter every morning. The area is quiet but close to cafes, local restaurants, and small shops.
If you’re looking for a calm, authentic Sri Lankan stay surrounded by nature and cared for by warm-hearted people, this place is a lovely choice. It’s not about luxury, but about atmosphere, simplicity and kindness – which we appreciated very much.
