We had three nights at Foresta with our three children. The family villa is basic (we were told is due for a renovation later in the year) but was very clean and spacious. The pool was lovely to relax in and the grounds were well kept and very peaceful. The manager was wonderful and couldn’t help us more, was a delight getting to know him. We climbed both Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock (our kids 6, 8 and 10 managed both fine) I would highly recommend doing Pidurangala at sunrise, was magical and so much less touristy (and a lot cheaper). If you only have time to do one do this one! Both are about a 20 min drive from hotel. There aren’t any restaurants nearby however we ate at the hotel most nights which was lovely and good value. Would highly recommend Foresta, very good value for money compared to some places we have stayed in Sri Lanka.
Calm place with Nice Pool, friendly staff and good service.
This is a little piece of heaven. Waking up and seeing a peacock outside the window is an experience I never knew I wanted so much.
The garden is gorgeous and super fresh. Birds chirping and peacocks singing All THE TIME.
The food and breakfast were really nice and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel manager, Mr. Sumith is an amazing person with a great sense of hospitality. He is extra helpful with anything that we needed.
The whole area is very quiet and perfect for becoming one with the nature.
The hotels owner, Sumeth absolutely went completely out of his way to give us his own local recommendations, as well as helping us plan for the rest of our trip - not even just around Sigiriya! Absolutely amazing service, great spacious & clean room, and awesome in house food.
Proprety is located in the middle of the forest, in peaceful and relaxed location. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have helped us in organising activities and transport. Thank you for a great stay!
