The view from the room was amazing. And the dining experience is exceptional. And staff was super nice, friendly, and helpful.

Top marks for the friendly and efficient staff, the amazing location and quality of breakfast and dinner buffets. The downsides are the feeble AC and the whole place needs a bit of refurbishment.

The hotel was very well staffed so more than enough people to look after your every need. The meals were all very good with plenty of choice. The food and drink was good value. We walked to a shack along the beach which although very basic was more expensive than the hotel!

It is wery old hotel. Have museum inside. It was residental of the first England guverner. Everything is at this stile. Room are big, rare and in old manier. They are clining all the time but need complete renovier and thay start to do it. You can here ocean.

Came here for a week and wished we stayed here longer. First of all the hospitality and care the staff gave us including the front desk: Elisha, Tashani and Thiwanka helped us when needed and made sure to give us the utmost support. The structure of the hotel made us interested aswell including the antique dining room and the buffet right outside a beautiful breathtaking view of Colombo and a well kept deep and shallow pool which was enough to satisfy my 14 and 8 year old. not to mention the room we got: a partial sea view with Colombo and the beaches outside our window. The private beach amazing for photos, a quick salty swim and a relax in the sunshine. This hotel was extremely convenient for being right next to the local train station which made travelling a lot easier. Definitely would recommend.
