Location is close to beach to any direction. Grandma who runs the place will make sure you feel like home, she will make you dinner for good price. We brought prawns from market that is located 50m away and she cooked us delicious devilled prawns. Stay is definetly worth the money.

We stayed in the basic room and had a lovely time here. The room has everything you need, a mosquito net, good fan, a table, stool and chair. The room is very quiet so we had the best sleep here. We had some mosquitoes in the room (as we left the windows open all day), but the rooms were free of spiders or other insects/animals that some people complained about in the reviews! The owner is the best she will make sure you have plenty of breakfast every morning and when you are unsure what to do she will give you recommendations for the day. We ate here 3 nights in a row as she is a great cook and she made us 3 different rice and curries (including 5 curries) each night. The dinner was very very affordable! The location is close to the tourist beach and walking distance form the city centre and bus stop. We will definitely stay here again!

The accommodation itself is simple, but sufficient, in the proximity of the sea. You can see sea from the balcony of one of the rooms. Extraordinary is the owner. This lady is so helpful and nice. She always prepared a rich tradional local breakfast. We asked for dinner as well and it was excellent containing fresh fishes and local dishes. During our stay I got sick and had to go to hospital. She called there, found the right one with the doctor for my diagnosis, she went there with me and was there all the with me. If you want to get in touch with local people and their way of life, definitively book for this accomodation.

Very pleasant hostel close to the beach and with a nice garden. My double room had a large comfortable bed with mosquito net and fan. Private bathroom too. The lady owner was very welcoming and gave me free tea and bananas on arrival. She served an excellent fish curry at 7pm and a good breakfast (rotis and idlis with maple syrup and marmalade) at any time you desired. The WiFi was a bit slow but could still connect to internet. Enough electric sockets to recharge my phone and camera. Good location not far from a supermarket and the bus station

Excellent value. Lovely big room. Good shower, fridge, balcony overlooking the garden & beach. Comfy bed. Mayuri is lovely. Very kind & welcoming. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan food she cooked for us & my husband especially liked the prawns & fish. Location is great for the beach & for the town & bus station.
