The Shadow Mask Bungalow is a very unique place. It's decorated with wonderful art, mostly mask from Africa. Our room was huge and comfortable. We booked a tour to the Horton Plain and everything was super well organized. The driver was a very nice guy. He picked us up early in the morning. We had a super tasty dinner, got early morning Coffee and they made us a breakfast package. We felt super welcome, thanks to the nice stuff!
Pattipolla is perfect if you plan to go to Horton Plain, the accomodation is located very close to the train station.
Super lovely host, very kind and thoughtful, great food. Fascinating venue, there is an amazing g collection of African masks.
Water heater worked great. Breakfast was also complimentary for every room, and they were willing to serve it early (which was useful for those going to Horton Plains). Guesthouse was also accommodating to our last minute changes.
Beautiful, quiet place to stay with huge rooms and attentive staff. Their food was excellent but we could also walk into town for food there. The owner arranged for a tuktuk to pick us up from Horton Plains after Stage 10 of the Pekoe Trail, making transportation much easier since there’s no signal at the park. He also helped me recover a lost hiking pole from a train station which was a life saver! Highly recommend!
