Very close to the beach close to the restaurants and easy access to public transport
After a long flight and long train ride the Shady Edge was best choice to arrive. Protected by a mosquito net I fell asleep instantly. Bed was comfy, big enough. Dinner and breakfast were the best I had during my travels. Nice porch and view to garden. (I didn't use bcs if the mosquitos.) Located perfectly next to a bus station to continue travelling, and Delawella Beach is just around the corner. To top it off, Prasanna and his family took care of me very attentively, helping me out with an adapter I forgot to bring for electronic devices or took my clothing for drying inside not to get wet from the rain while I was at the beach and exploring.
Lovely downstairs room with a little garden and chairs outside. Felt clean and had a mosquito net and fan.
Owners were wonderful and really kind, made a beautiful full Sri Lankan breakfast for us in the morning for $5 each. Very affordable place.
Very nice, kind and friendly hosts with a beautiful accommodation which was very close to the beach, and an absolutely fantastic breakfast on top of our stay!
An experience for those that are looking for something authentic, loved the family they were brilliant hosts. They provided a generous breakfast for you if you request it, the bed was comfortable with a fan that kept us cool. Upon check-out they drove us next to our next destination at a good price!
The kind of experience that makes you feel like you've come to Sri Lanka rather than just go to an all-inclusive resort in another hot country.
