Fantastic stay.
Lucian and his team are so kind and helped us by organizing a couple of activities (hike, village tour, waterfall, coffee experience).
All of them were super nice but special mention to the village tour/hike : a superb opportunity to walk around some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and understand better the Sri Lankan village life.
The room was spacious, clean with a perfect bathroom. Food was delicious and cheap.
I truly recommend this stay to anyone willing to experience something a bit different in Sri Lanka, close to nature and the local people. (+ Wifi was really good if you are looking for a place to work from remote)
Hopefully one day I will be able to welcome Lucian in Europe as well as he welcomed us in Sri Lanka.
The best place during our stay in Sri Lanka, 100% recommendable. Lucien is a great host, we had a great time. Quiet place, very comfortable rooms and excellent food!
We spent one night before our trek in the Knuckles and decided to book 3 more nights once we're back from the trek. The house is really nice. Lucian, the host is really friendly and a good cook. He will make everything for you to feel good. We had two rooms with one bathroom, which is perfect for our family. The beds are comfortable. You can enjoy the living room and feel like at home. The house is located above the main road, in a nice green garden. The concept is really great, a collaboration with the village and some project to bring clear water in East Sri Lankans population. The temperature is perfect and no need of a/c which is really nice. A lot of different activities Al can be done from there. Lucian can drive you to different places.
I loved the homey feel of the whole place. I was greeted and made to feel at home as soon as my Tuk Tuk pulled up outside the driveway. I loved the quiet and the local nature of the place.
We had the most relaxing two nights at the cottage. Lucian was the most attentive host. The food was delicious and the hike and swim at the waterfall were magical. Loved it and would love to return for a longer period to further explore the area.
