Beautiful villa with a gorgeous swimming pool. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We loved the family - they were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal that we ate at the villa. We also really loved the village, and the walk through the village to the beach, seeing every day Sri Lanka life.
We had a fantastic stay at Villa Talpe with our two children (ages 3 and 6). The pool was a highlight- set right in the middle of nature, surrounded by lush greenery. We spotted several peacocks and enjoyed magical jungle walks, especially in the evening with our son. We even saw fireflies and many other fascinating animals.
The breakfast was delicious, and there are plenty of great restaurants and supermarkets nearby, easily reachable by tuk-tuk. The hosts are incredibly kind- it's a truly lovely family who made us feel very welcome.

This is a great place to stay away from the chaos of the main beach areas, but still close enough to get a short ride in to those areas when you want to.
The walk to Talpe beach area is also a lovely walk through the friendly local village.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean and we loved waking up to the sound of nature.
Wonderful house in the middle of the forest. You can watch birds while swimming in the pool. The hosts are very nice and welcoming. The surrounding area is really nice to explore on foot.
The family who run villa Talpe are very sweet and helpful. Swimming pool was great.
