Lovely family that were keen to help. Room very clean and mosquito nets over both beds. Air con and fan in the room as well as fan on the porch. Table and chairs on the porch, lots of critters around just outside the door given the proximity to the park and the bushy location but caused no trouble. Large beautiful dinner as well as breakfast and lunch on the safari. Good safari, son came with us and communicates well, providing lots of insight into what you are seeing.
Hosts are super friendly and helpful. They can arrange safari tour for you! Rooms are clean. Strong AC. Plenty of water, juice, and coke offered during our stay and for the safari.
We had a wonderful visit. The resort is located immediately outside the National Park, so the location is perfect. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The area is quiet and you can hear the birds and the jungle sounds (we even heard an elephant!) The resort is family run and the host, his wife and two sons were very friendly and helpful. The meals were good and (very) plentiful. We enjoyed a safari in the park with the host and there are walking paths on the lake outside the park where we saw lots of birds. Overall a great experience.
The owners were very friendly and gave us great traditional breakfast and they were very helpful. The space was a great change from the extreme heat with it having great air conditioning and lovely comfortable beds everything was pristine and very near a great safri
Can't beat the location. Right next to the park entrance which is key if you want to be one of the first vehicles in. Owner was extremely friendly, limited English but attentive and proud. Very rural/rustic setting, felt like I was miles from nowhere in a good way. Also, big heavy shower head with water pressure makes for a nice shower when you're covered in Wilpattu dust!
