We had come here once on a group tour. We came in late and left early, and ever since, I was haunted by the fact that there were so many undiscovered things that I felt I wanted to see; so we came back with friends and stayed for 2 days. This incredible, historic site has nooks and crannies to explore, lush gardens to walk through, horseback riding, and hiking paths. If you can get to hear the music of the Waukees, an indigenous band, you will hear the whispers of their ancestors in the melody. I love thus place!
The staff here absolutely made our trip! They went out of their way to be kind to us and our girls. Oscar did so many fun things for our kids and the manager on duty (I’m so sorry I forgot her name!) was unbelievably kind and made us feel at home. It is a historic property so there’s no heat but the fires they lit every night were lovely and with the hot water bottles we stayed plenty warm. The breakfast was good and the ground are absolutely serene and stunning. The restaurant was quite a bit overpriced and very average food, not quite worth the money, but everything else was wonderful. We’d absolutely stay here again!
The people! Kind staff, lovely owner, authentic, working Hacienda! Beautiful grounds with horses trotting around. Lovely buildings & delicious food. NYE party was so much fun!!! Would stay again!

The staff could not have been better. They were efficient and friendly. It is a very peaceful place to stay.
