A convenient place to stay in Tanabe before starting the Kumano Kodo. Aki, one of the staff members, was knowledgeable and helpful, offering great suggestions about the trail. The tsukasa house is just a short walk from the bus stop, making it easy to get going in the morning. If you’re looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay, this is a good choice for the price.
The host speaks fluent English. He is very helpful providing information about Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage.
Close to Kii-Tanabe station. Great spot to start Kumano Kodo journey. Host was very helpful with information, maps, and route ideas. Very easy check-in. Multiple restaurants nearby.
Close to station. The host spoke excellent English. He knew a lot about the Kumamo Kodoa nd had some excellent advise on how to uses busses to balance the distances we walked every day. Knew all the stores and restaurants along the way.
Very good location. The house had information regarding bus schedules and the kumano kodo trail which was helpful.
