Offering rooms with a yukata robe, green tea and mountain views, Hotel Ougiya is 5 minutes from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Field on the free shuttle. It has natural hot-spring baths and serves Japanese-Western fusion cuisine. Hakuba Hotel Ougiya has both Japanese and Western rooms, all with heating facilities, an private bathroom and a fridge. Guests in the Japanese room sleep in futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. The Western room includes a private bath. On-site parking is free, and the hotel provides free shuttles from JR Hakuba Train Station and Hakuba Bus Terminal, both 1.2 mi away. Hakuba Museum is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Bicycles can be rented. After a day on the slopes, you can unwind with a massage. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage and ski storage, and the lobby has free Wi-Fi. A Japanese or Western set menu is available for breakfast from 07:00-09:30. A multi-course fusion dinner is served from 18:00-20:00. Cocktails are poured at the lounge bar.

Staff was extremely helpful - room was very spacious - free onsen was a bonus - oh and the breakfast was really good
Location was good for Happo area and the onsen temp was perfect. Also has an elevator so you don't need to climb stairs.
The staff were friendly, accommodating to my needs and helpful. I also liked the ski/snowboard room on the first floor, very convenient.
The Japanese couple that run the property were absolutely wonderful. So friendly and so helpful! The ski gear room had tons of space and our gloves were dry every morning, our tatami room was immaculate, the onsen was absolutely gorgeous (and almost always empty for a solo onsen after 10pm!), and all the little extras along the way were so appreciated. We were blown away by the breakfast buffet, it kept us snowboarding all day long. Also, when one of our bags hadn’t arrived, our wonderful host did all the work tracking it down for us (turned out it had been delivered next door). Really can’t say enough nice things about this place, we didn’t want to leave and will definitely stay again our next time in Hakuba :)
The onsen on the property was amazing! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The ski/boot room was so convenient.
