The location is excellent . Near to the shopping street and Sakura Machi shopping mall . Plenty of restaurant and shops . The hotel is good , clean and comfortable. There is a parking lot at the back of the hotel ( indoor ) but only for small car . We drove a MPV so can't park in . But the staff who take care of the parking lot is so generous . He use the translator to explain that we can park at the car park in the Sakura Machi mall with the affortable parking rate. Just need to walk about 5-7 minutes from the mall to the hotel. The room is clean and typical Japanese hotel room style. The power shower is a bonus. Ya , the most important is the Kumamoto Castle is within walking distance from the hotel . About ( 15-20 minutes walk )

The staffs are extraordinary helpful. We were involved in an accident where another vehicle hit our car while parking in a parking lot. We received a notice left on the windscreen, instructing us to go to the police station, but it didn’t mention about the incident and was written on plain A4 paper without letterheads. We were unsure if the notice is genuine or a prank. The staffs at Mitsui Garden Hotel were very helpful to contact the police to obtain more information for us. The room is clean and comfortable.
