The staff was always friendly. The property is close to a bus stop. The room was clean and well appointed with amenities. Appreciated the wall hooks for hanging towels/backpacks/rain jackets.
breakfast was very good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location and price was really good as well. Its only a few blocks away from the Kyoto Subway and 1,000 yen taxi ride from Kyoto Station. They only have one washer/dryer, but less then one block away there is a coin laundry with plenty of them.

Attractive hotel with lots of special touches. Loved onsen being open all night. We appreciated having one television news channel in English. The bed was extra large and very comfortable.
Hotel is great for the valeu.. traditional japanese breakfest is really good, western options too.. tons of places to eat and shop in the surroundings of shijo area - walking distance -, easy to get to the stations (railways, subway, bus). And taxi to kyoto station (to shinkensen) was pretty affordable.
