This is 100% the most memorable accommodation I’ve stayed at in Japan so far, out of two trips. The host is kind, the food is incredibly good and generous portions. Great ryokan experience. ❤️
The bathrooms and bath (onsen-style) are shared, but were always well cleaned. It’s a small ryokan, so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic in these areas anyway. The bath was very relaxing. Most rooms are traditional tatami.
There is parking in front of the building if you rent a car visiting Sado Island (which I heavily recommend).
I would want to come back to Nanauraso when I come back to Sado.

The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms and facilities were clean. The view was great too.
Good location. A few minutes to the sunset view point.
