The lobby was relaxing. And they had drinks and complimentary snacks, it was really good.
Modern hotel, decent rooms and friendly staff. Nice complimentary drinks. Decent breakfast of local cuisine.
Rooms with western beds were fine. Good shower.
Bus stop around the corner, subway just a few hundred metres away. Kyoto station only a 15 minute walk.
Which, judging by some of the other reviews is an eternity, and that is the other great benefit of this hotel: no Americans and other lazy tourists. 😉

The hotel is amazing. The bedrooms very comfortable and as it’s Japanese style, it was a great experience. Breakfast was good and they had a variety of different options, very clean and the staff was friendly.
The staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean. Pajamas and slippers were provided. Drinks and candies were available throughout the day. The location is close to many bus stops and Kyoto Station. In general, we had a pleasant stay.
I had two bookings at this hotel one for the Western-Style and one for the Japanese style, both were great and comfortable and also the facilities were great for two people with 6 luggage bags, the price was very reasonable and affordable compared to Osaka & Tokyo places. Very close to bus station as it is the most wide use public transportation in Kyoto
Will definitely recommend staying here and hopefully coming back later to Japan
