Offering free Wi-Fi throughout, a free-use kitchen and 24-hour hot showers, the completely nonsmoking Peace House is 0.6 mi from Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Accommodations is simple, with Japanese-style beds and shared bathrooms. Guests at Peace House Sakura sleep in air-conditioned rooms with a tatami (woven-straw) or wood floor, in traditional futon bedding. Towels and new linens are available for a fee. Toilets are shared. A 5-minute walk from Kiyomizu-Gojo Train Station, the hostel is a 20-minute bus ride from JR Kyoto Train Station. The historical Gion area is 1.2 mi away. A coin launderette is on site, and guests can store their luggage before the check-in time. A shared-use microwave, fridge, toaster and gas range are included in the kitchen. There is no curfew, though check-in hours are limited. Free coffee and tea are provided. No meals are served.

Great area to walk around in, close to good things. Clean, friendly. Nice room. A great place to stay.
Amazing location, incredibly close to Kiyomizu-dera, if staying here it's worthwhile to get up extra early to walk there. You can absolutely walk from pontocho alley and gion back. One of the best walkable locations to stay. If you are crazy enough, like us, you can totally walk to nishiki Market.
quintessential hostel experience - a dirt cheap private room for my friends and I to crash in in gion. Staff were friendly and we had several amusing conversations.
The host is very welcoming ang accommodating and most of the famous spots are near.
Location and the shared areas looked welcoming and were clean.
