The hotel staff were polite and provided directions to locations. The room is small for American standards, but normal for Japanese standards. Everything worked in our room and it was clean. There were many free amenities provided, the best being the pillows. The beds were on the harder side, but not unbearable. We stayed in a double bed and were able to fit 2 average-sized adult women comfortably. But we are sisters so we don't mind sleeping together. It might have been more awkward if I was with a friend. The best part of the hotel was the onsen. It is separated by gender and it was very clean and well maintained. The hours it is available are very generous and we would go around 5pm to enjoy every day. The location was great too, just on the other side of the road from Kyoto's main train station.

Easily accessible from Kyoto station. Close to rental cars, bicycle shares, public transportation, and numerous shops and places to eat. The onsen is a nice perk. Loved the option to choose our own pillow. Very clean - and I'd highly recommend!

Hotel is quite new and has lots of amenities offered. 3 types of toothbrush to choose from(soft,medium,hard) and a wide selection of pillows if you find this in your room uncomfortable! Overall the room while a bit cramped which is to be expected is equipped with everything you might need including usb ports. Also the hotel is less than 3 min by foot to the station. You can reach almost all sights within 20-25min of total travel time.

Excellent location right opposite to kyoto station! Wonderful accommodation and great staff ! It also has an onsen and we were able leave our luggage after checkout and until the next checkin the following day!
