Sanae-san is such a lovely and considerate host. She really goes above and beyond. If you want a slice of the countryside and want to experience a more traditional Japanese sleeping experience at an affordable rate, it's great!

This traditional Yamaguchi guest house was outstanding. The owner and host, Sanae-san was charming and friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. The facilities were spacious and clean. We cooked multi course meals in the well appointed kitchen, and our host even helped with recipe tips and supplemental ingredients for our meal. Our host was also extremely helpful in providing information for sightseeing. We visited the Rurikoji temple with its magnificent pagoda, and the spectacular Akiyoshido caves. I recommend that you plan a stay in Yamaguchi and seek out this wonderful guest house.

Sanea-san was wonderful. She was very kind and with our little japanese she took her time to speak with us. She even helped us with times bus times for where we wanted to go as well as helped us with train times. Sanea-san also booked taxis for us to the station. The house was beautiful and a traditional style, Sanea-san was kind to tell us a bit about the house and the cravings in it as well as made sure there was some food for us for breakfast. The house was clean and comfortable. It was very easy to sleep as no loud noises and the crickets in the fields were nice to listen to.

The stay was very relaxing and the hospitality was very warm. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was very well equipped and the living and sleeping areas were very cozy. The garden in front of the house is beautifully designed. It is a beautiful traditional Japanese accommodation.

Een prachtige en ruime tatamikamer met een comfortabele futon in een traditioneel Japanse woning die recent gerenoveerd is met kwaliteitsvolle materialen; toilet en badkamer zijn bijzonder verzorgd. Een ruime (gedeelde) woonkamer met ingerichte keuken. De eigenares is bijzonder hartelijk en charmant, zeer communicatief en hulpvaardig, je kan bij haar terecht met zowat alle mogelijke vragen. Ze draagt zorg voor je zoals een moeder en is erg gul. Ik voelde me erg welkom. De buurt is heerlijk rustig en Yamaguchi is een goede uitvalsbasis om de ruime omgeving te verkennen. Ik kom bij een volgend bezoek zeker terug bij Sanae logeren!
