Beautiful house with a good combination of traditional and modern design. The hosts were very responsive and helpful when we asked questions (in both Japanese and English). Very comfortable beds, including the optional futon. Tatami area was a great addition to the upstairs room. The open air bathroom is very well put together, and an inside shower is also available if it's cold outside. Overall, highly recommended!

The staff were patient, waiting for us to arrive as I couldn't give a more accurate time. The whole space was lovely and it was so nice to have a larger area after staying in smaller rooms. You have the whole house here and for two it was plenty of space with everything we needed. The location is useful, a stones throw away from Tofukiji Station. Don't get caught out by the crossing though, we almost missed trains because of the rail crossing coming down for passing trains! There are convenience stores within walking distance for food too as it is self catering, but there is a stove, microwave, rice cooker and toaster oven to use. They provided towels, soaps and toothbrushes and a washing machine to use too. We didn't get a chance to try the outdoor bath but it was a nice feature. Overall one of the better accommodations we stayed in while in Japan.
