The location is great, as it is close to the train station and all major sights. People complain about the issue with the homeless and other notable characters, but for me, it was not a problem. They are in their own world.

Im not sure about some negative comments here , you just need to be a bit cautious in Omonia area and thats it. Hotel Solomou is super clean, quiet, great value for money ! Im not sure if anyone can beat it in Athens. The gentleman that works there is helpful, professional and friendly. Real old fashioned hotel experience , for me that is priceless. Most important thing AC works perfectly well ! I sleep in hotels most of the time during the year due to my profession, often top five star hotels with super high expectations ( I often end up being disappointed).I honestly could not find anything wrong with this hotel. Clean , quiet , comfortable, AC and WIFI super functional - thats what u need.

Service was very good, reception very friendly, and the cleaning very proper.

It was open 24 hours which we were very grateful for, arriving in the early hours of the morning. The receptionist was welcoming, friendly and helpful.

It is close to the metro station Omonia, a 5-minute walk. The room was clean and it was cleaned every day. The towels were changed every day. The staff was helpful and polite.
