within the wall, very well kept, and high quality materials used for the room and the building.

Where to begin? The hotel is in the old town of Avila. Around the corner of the cathedral of Santa Theresa, the hotel is reached by traveling up cobblestoned tiny streets. This after you enter this entirely walled citadel (walls intact!) through one of its smallish gates. With GPS we found the hotel easily. Please reserve a parking place. There are very few available. The welcome was nice, our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The property has a garden/pool. A tour is given of the property. We booked breakfast and I can recommend the same. It is not buffet style. Of note: the traditional crushed tomatoes with olive oil and salt were the best ever. The hotel does have an elevator.

The location is perfect, the room generous. The Shower perfect plus a tub. Good size basin. Air Con efficient and quiet. The pool small but adequate to cool down not really to swim. Staff friendly and very helpful. The whole place smells so nice. I actually just wanted to live here

The place was incredibly beautiful and very well kept. I loved the relaxing feel that we felt when we stayed there. Paula was exceptional, very friendly, and helpful. She gave us a map of the area and gave us very helpful tips regarding all the places to visit. She even came to the parking area to assist us. This place did feel like we were home. I also loved the breakfast. Definitely, worth it! A lot of care and attention was given to us during breakfast. All locally sourced ingredients and incredibly delicious. Love the board they used and the various items, including the delicious yogurt and natural honey.
