We arrived early and was able to stay from 11am until the 8am next day where we began our descent to aguas calientes. The lodge had an amazing view of Machu Picchu- best place to stay at lactaplata!

Ellio and his family were very accommodating to our stay. The location has a beautiful view of the sacred valley and is an ideal stop on the Salkantay trek. Stay offered a tasty breakfast and dinner. The location is surrounded by beautiful forest and close to archeological sites.

It's magical to arrive here and see the familiar outline of the Machu Picchu mountains from afar as you hike towards it. We enjoyed cutting our walk shorter by stopping here after Lucmabamba, and the cabins are cool with transparent windows (although most of them had small trees/brush in front so you had to go outside to really enjoy the view). Food was nice and the lady running it was friendly. Between the two options up here this is the quieter one with only like 6 cabins, great place to take in the surroundings.
