We were greeted very warmly by the owner and this warmth extended throughout our stay. The room was compact but lovely, with lots of natural light and a comfortable bed. Power points and lights just where you need them. The breakfast is delicious. The location, half way between Windermere and Bowness, is handy, with a bus stop 5 minutes walk away or a short walk into either of the little towns.

Th breakfast is great, the staff is lovely and the room just wonderful. I like hotels paying attention to small details.

Very nice stay B&B run by friendly staff. The room was gorgeous and very clean and tidy. Facilities were great, clean shower and bathroom. Free parking round the back was great as the road is quite narrow. The building is very welcoming and nicely decorated throughout. Located right in the middle of Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere town, it was a 15 minute walk to get to either central point. Nice touches with having access to fridges and freezers, also leaving a bottle of wine in our room on arrival. Staff were very friendly and helpful, very welcoming. The room was gorgeous (superior four poster) and very clean, being served breakfast in our room was great too, enjoying it at our own leisure and in PJ’s! Great choice of starters; cereal, fruit bowls, yoghurts and choices of teas and coffee. Main breakfast again lots of choice and variations to please everybody, we had the cooked Cumbrian breakfast which was delicious.

We really loved our stay at Rum Doodle!! The B&B is located just a short walk away from shops and restaurants in Windermere and Bowness-on-Windemere and a short drive away from great hiking points. The room was great and comfortable and had everything we needed but breakfast was the real highlight. I'll be thinking of those banana and berry pancakes for the foreseeable! The lady who bought us our breakfast each morning was also wonderful - such a ray of sunshine and a delight to talk to each morning!

Location. Less than 15 minutes walk from the town centre and Windermere station. Facilities: Beautiful room, beautiful bathroom, beautiful window view. So fresh and clean that I felt overwhelmed processing the pure luck of its availability. Breakfast was wonderful. I went with the oats, honey, blueberries, yoghurt and fruit salad, but the aromas of bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes could have easily pulled me to flexitarianism. Staff were all exceptionally warm and welcoming. I was left feeling truly cared for.
