John was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.

The guest house is located close to the Dover castle, seaside and the city centre. Our room was quite spacious, with a beamed ceiling, two beautiful windows with outside flower boxes and was furnished in the "old" style. The bed was excellent. We were warmly welcomed by the concierge John, who gave us a great introduction to the city's history.

The host was extremely welcoming and helpful with excellent recommendations regarding restaurants and other attractions in the area, and my room was superbly comfortable. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Usually, in a hotel review, you'd talk about things such as room size, cleanliness, etc. And don't get me wrong - all of these things were good too. But what really differentiates this hotel from others was John, the Concierge. He was incredibly helpful and very fun to talk to. Would gladly stay there again!

It was comfortable. The room was bigger than expected. It was clean and made up each day. The teacakes were welcome! John welcomed us and was available whenever we were around, wishing us good morning, asking about our day and generally being very friendly. He was knowledgeable about the area and very responsive prior to arrival.
