The Galaxie has been transformed into a characterful hotel which oozes personality. It’s one-of-a-kind interiors transport our guests back in time to recreate a bygone age. We believe that small really can be better and prefer individuality over uniformity. Our neighborhood has a lovely selection of restaurants, wine cafes and a traditional pub. The Galaxie is just a mile from the center of historic Oxford. Guests can relax in our peaceful garden or enjoy the use of complimentary gym. A hearty breakfast is served each morning and can be paid for at the property. Car parking is available for a small daily charge.

It was great to be out of downtown Oxford but so easy to get to it by bus which stops right outside location. Very easy to get to town and only a few dollars on bus. The staff was very friendly and the main host showed us to our room himself upon arrival which was kind of him. The place is very curated in design so felt like a unique and special place to stay. Rooms and beds are nice and bathroom very clean and well designed. Don't miss the large and nice work out room in basement as well worth it.

Almost everything about this place is amazing. The Galaxie is tastefully decorated, the staff are friendly and the property is well maintained. Definitely the nicest guesthouse that I've ever stayed in Oxford. The buffet breakfast was also incredibly good. The Galaxie is also well located close to shops and restaurants in Summertown. Only 25-30 minute walk, or ten minute bus ride to Oxford's historic city center.
