Отель Chinshan Villa, Чжунчжэн, Тайвань

I read a lot of horror stories of run down, profit driven hotels in Alishan that are not personable, helpful (my friend stayed at the tall gray one on the other side of the staircase), or try as hard to keep up, but Chinshan was a lovely stay. -The staff were super patient and helpful -- offering pick up AND drop off. -Great suggestions/recommendations. -Felt more like a clubhouse than a run down fake resort in a developing country. -The lobby had really great souvenirs. -The room was actually super clean and even the deep Japanese tub wasn't so bad. -There was actual good hot water!!!

The hotel is somewhat outdated. The room is small, and it lacks the amenities we have expected. The location is good. However, the staff here were very helpful. Since it is located in the Alishan forest park, the room rate would be higher than usual, in comparison to the same class of hotel rooms elsewhere.

Right in the park, next to the stairwell coming from the shuttle bus stop and visitor center. Plenty of restaurants and shops all around. Hikeable into parts of the park. Had no issues with the hot water in the bathroom. There were hot water dispensers on each floor- great for making tea and noodles. There was a small shop in the lobby selling souviners and cups of noodles (food was priced fairly!), and the staff was ready to help with any and all questions.

The place was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were very helpful. It was quiet and peaceful. Free breakfast was good enough.

Great location - just a few minutes walk to the aloshan railway station and restaurants. We also love the cherry blossoms outside the hotel. The room is quite small though, but the location makes up for it. Good value for money.
